Portrait Painting Made Easier with Gene Dillard
Portrait painting is not easy. but, it's not as difficult as some think. The goal of this workshop is to make it easier for those who are experienced and easier for those who are not so experienced. Either way, it will be fun for all.
The workshop will be an exciting look into some of the fine points of painting portraits from life, especially mastering flesh tones. Great emphasis is given to managing the four properties of color: value, hue, intensity and temperature as they apply to accurately capturing likenesses in portraiture.
Two full days will be packed with demonstrations and hands-on instruction. Use of live models is incorporated to provide the ultimate visual aid for easy step-by-step painting processes for both aspiring and advanced attendees. Instruction will be in oil on canvas. Once signed up, you will be provided with a materials list. In addition to demonstrations, each attendee will have the opportunity to experience painting-from-life session with individual coaching from Gene.
