CALL FOR ART
ELLIS COUNTY ● ART ● ASSOCIATION ● 2023 ● STUDENT ● EXHIBIT
APRIL 18 - 23 2023
FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS, ELLIS COUNTY ART ASSOCIATION (ECAA) HAS SPONSORED AN EXHIBIT OF ART FROM STUDENTS ACROSS ELLIS COUNTY. THE ASSOCIATION IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE STUDENT EXHIBIT FOR 2023.
ELIGIBILITY
The student exhibit is open to all school students, from Pre-K-5 to seniors in high school. It is open to students from public schools, charter and private schools, and homeschool associations. All art work must be executed in the classroom under the instruction of the teacher.
WORKS OF ART
Each student may submit one piece of art with a maximum size of 12 inches x 18 inches for 2-dimensional works. Three-dimensional works should not exceed 12 inches x 10 inches x 8 inches. Teachers should prepare 2-dimensional art for hanging as shown below:
Mount the art to a piece of white or black, 3/16-inch foam board using double stick tape or comparable adhesive. Overlap the foam board with the artwork about 1-inch.
Do not use poster board or cardboard. The rigidity of the foam board is needed to present the art properly. Stretched canvases do not require mounting.
Complete the name tag for each work and attach to the bottom of the art with double stick tape. Sample name tags are on page 3 and will be available on the ECAA website in Word document form on March 1.

Surprise!!! Additional Senior Scholarships are Available!!!
Dear Teachers,
We have had a wonderful event happen. A former member of our art organization, Linda Moxley has opened up a new yearly Mox Moxley Art Scholarship fund. The funds that will be available will be a $3000 scholarship and a $2000 scholarship.
The application will be similar to our other scholarship but has a few stipulations. I am attaching the new forms to be filled out. The other form is already online. All will remain the same with the exception of the ECAA $500 scholarship. That will be eliminated and just become the Shelly Nance Memorial Art Scholarship of $1000. All scholarships are for graduating seniors only. A student may apply for both the Shelly Nance Scholarship and the Mox Moxley Scholarship but applicants can only receive one scholarship. Please advertise this to your graduating seniors that plan to pursue an art degree at a university or trade school. If you have any questions please contact Barbara Woods at babz1954@gmail.com.
