WELCOME TO THE 16th ANNUAL PAINT HISTORIC WAXAHACHIE!

The 2023, 16th Annual Paint Historic Waxahachie Plein Air Event was a HUGE success! The competition phase ended Friday evening with an Awards Reception at Art on the Square Gallery in historic downtown Waxahachie, Texas. Claudia Parsons took the top honors with with her painting called "Brown Street". Congrats to Claudia!

All work is for sale and this unique show provides those who are veteran collectors and those who are just beginning to collect original art an excellent opportunity to start or add to their collection!

May 20, 2023 several plein air artists gathered on the historic Waxahachie Courthouse Square to compete in a "Quickdraw" event.
This event has a cash prize of $100, which was won by Susan Sterle.

All the artists started their works at 10:00 a.m. and laid their brushes down at noon.
