Linda Schindler is a native
Texan and has resided in Waxahachie for over 20 years. She is the mother of
three and has been married to her husband Don for over 30 years. Linda showed an interest in art at a very young age and started painting more seriously after raising her children. Her country surroundings have inspired her in many ways. She is best known for her chicken paintings. Linda teaches art lessons at the Ellis County Art Museum, has studied with several notable artists, and has won many prestigious art awards. She has won Northlight Art Magazine's cover contest, numerous Best of Show awards including the State Fair of Texas and Richardson Civic Art Society Purchase Award, and has been invited to the Southwest Classic Art Show for many years.
