I have been drawing all my life and painting since I was 21.  I have taken classes and workshops with instructors and artists from the University of Iowa,  Minnesota, Idaho, Missouri and Texas.  DeBob Jacob, with the ECAA, has been my most recent teacher and inspiration.   My work has received a number of ribbons and awards.

Working mostly in oil, charcoal and pastel, I like for my subjects to have a special meaning; whether it is items in a still life, a portrait or a landscape.  Plein Aire painting is a really fun thing to do.  Because so much of the natural world is disappearing I feel it is important to record as much as possible.

Using mostly photographs for source material, I do  accept commissions for portraits.

My home is in Red Oak, But we come to Waxahachie for many occasions and admire the city for retaining so much of it’s originality.
